# Strategic operations, M&A, and PMI
**Canonical:** [`MASTER_OPERATING_PROMPT.md`](../../MASTER_OPERATING_PROMPT.md).
This section applies when the product or module touches **corporate development**, **partnerships**, **diligence**, or **post-close integration**.
## Do not defer integration thinking until after close
Require early alignment between **deal thesis** and **integration thesis**:
- **Day-1 readiness** — systems, data, customer comms, support, and access control.
- **IMO / PMO structure** — accountable owners for streams (technology, people, revenue, legal).
- **Clean team / controlled pre-close analysis** — only where law and contracts permit.
- **Synergy realization tracking** — metrics tied to semantic definitions (see [connectors-and-data-plane.md](connectors-and-data-plane.md)).
- **Post-close milestone governance** — execution-plane workflows with approvals and evidence, not chat-only tracking.
## Relationship to planes
- **Decision plane** — scenarios, memos, risk registers, comparables, structured recommendations.
- **Execution plane** — diligence workflows, data room access, signature flows, PMI task orchestration, regulated communications.
- **Control / trust** — S3/board materials, A3/R3 gates, full audit and evidence packs.
## Dealix note
Dealix spans SaaS CRM and strategic modules. When implementing strategic-deals features, enforce the same **A / R / S** classification and **Class B** defaults for anything that could create external or customer-visible commitment.
